Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect almost nothing, and we sell exactly nothing.
Privacy policies are usually written to protect companies from readers. This one is written for you, in plain language, because that's the whole point of this site.
What we collect
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address. That's the only personal information we ask for, and we use it for one thing: sending you the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. No guilt trips, no “are you sure?” maze.
Analytics
We use basic analytics to see which pages people read and roughly where visitors come from. It helps us decide what to write next: if everyone reads the seniors guide and nobody reads a comparison, that tells us something useful. The numbers we look at are counts and totals, not individual people. We don't build profiles of visitors, and we don't follow you around the rest of the internet.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Not to advertisers, not to “trusted partners,” not to anyone. Your email address goes to the service that sends our newsletter and nowhere else.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are referral links. If you click one, the builder's website may set a cookie on their end so they know we sent you, and we may earn a commission if you subscribe. That happens on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. The full story is in our affiliate disclosure.
Cookies
This site uses only the minimal cookies needed to function and to count visits. Nothing here requires you to click through a wall of toggles, and the site works fine if your browser blocks third-party cookies entirely. If you clear your cookies, nothing about this site breaks; the worst that happens is our visit counter says hello to you twice.
Your data, your call
Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email [email protected] and we'll sort it out. For almost everyone the answer will be “one email address,” and deleting it takes minutes. We'll confirm when it's done.
If we ever change how any of this works, we'll update this page and say so plainly at the top. No silent edits.
